Custom Cabinetry from measurement to final adjustment
Custom cabinetry earns its cost in rooms that defeat stock sizes — pre-war Nashville kitchens with out-of-square walls and tall ceilings, awkward corners, and built-ins that need to look original to the house. In a straightforward rectangular kitchen it frequently is not necessary, and we will say so.
Fit is what separates good cabinetry from adequate cabinetry. No wall is straight and no floor is level, and the scribing and shimming that makes a run look integral is most of the skill and none of the visible cost.

FAQ
Common questions on custom cabinetry
What is the difference between custom and semi-custom cabinets?
Custom cabinets are built to your dimensions in the wood, finish and configuration you choose, and they fit walls that are not square and rooms that are not standard. Semi-custom are manufactured lines in set sizes with a range of options. Custom costs more and takes longer; it is the answer when the room or the storage does not fit a standard box.
How long do custom cabinets take?
Eight to twelve weeks from the final drawings to installation for most kitchens — design and sign-off, then the shop time, then finishing, which cannot be rushed. Installation itself is a few days. The lead time is the reason cabinets are ordered before demolition starts, not after.
